REQUESTS FOR PLAYER APPEARANCES OR ITEMS FOR CHARITY AUCTIONS

Northern Districts Cricket are committed to the community with players making appearances during the season. After every Northern Knights match there is an opportunity to have items signed by all the players and free team posters are available for anyone who would like one signed. Photographs are also encouraged with the players. Young and old, everyone is welcome! Come and meet the team, they are your team after all.

PLAYER APPEARANCES

All requests should be in writing and sent to the Julie Taylor who coordinates all player appearances. To help with planning, any requests for player appearances need to be at least four weeks prior to the event. All applications must meet the following criteria before being considered:

  • show a brief outline of the event, number of people attending, date, time and location, number of player(s) required
  • show there is a clearly defined role for the player(s) at the event
  • explain your relationship/alignment/support of Northern Districts Cricket

From there, your request will be considered and all requests will be replied to in writing.

Charity Item Requests

Our official charity is the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation (NZBCF). To support the Foundation and protect our partnership, we have a limited number of signed* shirts that we make available to other charitable causes. To apply for one of these shirts, all applications must be in writing and clearly explain what charity will benefit from the auction of the particular shirt. A media clipping or photos of the event must be provided after the event.

If you are prepared to cover the cost of the shirt, you are more likely to have your application accepted. Other items such as pre-purchased bats are able to be sent in by prior arrangement for charitable purposes only. Please contact Julie Taylor to discuss. Shirts will be provided at the discretion of the Commercial Department.

*Please note, any requests for a fully signed shirt will be declined as these are reserved for our family of sponsors and the NZBCF.
